Katie joined PRX after 16 years in the public sector. Her public sector experience spans Vancouver Coastal Health, Provincial Health Services Authority, and Coast Mountain Bus Company.

She has held held various roles in Human Resources, including working in benefits, labour relations, duty to accommodate, disability management, and psychological health and wellness.

PRX first crossed paths with Katie seven years ago. While volunteering on her rowing club’s executive committee as Communications Officer, she worked alongside the PRX team on the Save Stanley Park Waters Campaign - a public interest campaign to save her beloved rowing club from the existential threat of an expansion by the neighbouring yacht club. It was while working on this file (and winning the fight against the yachters!) that her enthusiasm and talent for strategic and creative communications was revealed.

This experience led Katie back to graduate school, where she earned an Master of Business Administration in Professional Communication Management. She teamed up with PRX once again, with PRX serving as her client for her capstone project. While we say Katie is a recent recruit to PRX, she’s been part of the PRX extended universe for the past number of years, having already worked with the team on two complex files.
